The program will introduce students to the profession of social work with individuals and families with mental health issues as practiced in India through agency visits, outreach activities and exposure to community-based organizations doing mental health and suicide prevention work. The program will also enhance understanding and skills related to mental health practice and suicide prevention and intervention through interactions with SNEHA, SCARF, SAMARTH and other organizations.
